About

Welcome to Moorside Primary Academy. I am very proud to be the Executive Headteacher of Moorside Primary Academy supporting the children and community within the Moorside area and beyond. We are a small 2-11 academy based on the outskirts of Consett in County Durham, part of the Advance Learning Partnership family of schools.

We hope our website gives you a little insight into life at Moorside. We are always happy to answer any questions or queries via our contact us page. We warmly welcome prospective parents to visit our school, as every day is an open day. At Moorside Primary Academy, we believe in educational excellence and hard work, which brings about its own rewards.

We believe in working with every child from their individual starting points and maximising their potential. We want our children to be well prepared for the next steps in their educational journey, having the confidence and self-belief to become resilient lifelong learners. We believe education is about both academic and personal growth.

We aim for our children to be well-rounded individuals who can make a positive contribution to the community in which they live and society as a whole.
