About

On behalf of the staff and governors I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your child. I was delighted to be appointed Headteacher at Middlestone Moor Primary Academy from September 2021 after being the Deputy Headteacher for 11 years.

The warmth and friendly atmosphere of our school is very important and many of our visitors comment upon the happy and positive ethos. The staff are all 100% committed to the welfare and education of the children. Our school is full of happy, well-behaved, hard-working children who are a pleasure to teach.

Our aim is to create a happy, safe and stimulating place for children to learn and thrive so that their potential is fully developed. At Middlestone Moor Primary Academy we strive to make every child feel that they are valued and unique and that they are an important part of the school.

The children are taught that everyone has rights, alongside responsibilities and to make choices in their attitude and behaviour, recognising the consequence of these choices. We believe that frequent (merited) praise and encouragement is vital for all of us, especially children.

Governing body (6 current, 1 former)

iAcademy trust: local governing body and trust board.

1 governor is linked to a profile (all confirmed).

Governors marked “Confirmed same person” have exactly the same forename and surname as the only officer of that name at the school’s own academy trust company on the Companies House register, so we treat them as the same person. The governance record itself comes from DfE.
