About

Forest Edge School (formerly OEA Education) is an independent specialist provider of education on the Isle of Wight for children aged from 11-14 (Keystage 3) who have a range of severe or complex needs arising from life trauma, Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), attachment disorder or a phobia of education.

We are part of New Forest Care Education, a specialist provider for young people. The school is registered with the DfE to provide up to 8 places for boys and girls. Our school is set in a commercial industrial building, which on the outside, definitely doesn't look school-like.

On the inside, it is welcoming and friendly, with a common open room area, and relaxed but well resourced classrooms that are set out in such a way as to inspire young people to want to come in and engage. Our classrooms are named after inspirational characters and personalities from the Isle of Wight. Our STEM (science, technology, DT & Maths) teaching room.

Our English, Humanities, Life Skills & PSHE/RSE teaching room. Our Creative Arts classroom and communal area for social times. A small one to one room used for individual work or OT/SALT.
