About

Wellington Place Primary opened in August 2024—not just as a school, but as the heart of a growing community. As the founding Headteacher, I'm proud to lead a team dedicated to creating a happy, ambitious environment where every child can thrive. At Discovery Trust, our core values— Equity, Ambition, and Belonging —guide everything we do.

Every child and family is made to feel they belong here. I greet each child at the gate every morning with a smile and a heartfelt "I'm glad you're here." On Fridays we even start our day with a dance together! Our incredible children truly make the school community magical—full of awe and wonder.

Our vision Learn, Lead, Achieve, Succeed is brought to life through a rich, creative curriculum and a culture rooted in kindness. We aim to be the happiest school in Leicestershire, where children arrive each day excited to learn together.

At the heart of our ethos is The Wellington Way : These principles shape our school life and help our children grow into confident, caring individuals. Its how we do it here.
