About

Churchfields, the Village School opened in 2006 through the amalgamation of Atworth School and Monkton Farleigh C.E. School. The children are taught and supported by a committed team of teachers and support staff that promote quality learning by having high expectations and standards.

We believe that it is crucial to fully involve parents, and work hard to create a family atmosphere at the school. Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard, and banks of laptops and iPads are available at both bases for the children to use. We continually assess our ICT/computing capability to make sure that it is always up to date and fit for purpose.

Although we have two bases we are one school, and the staff work hard to ensure continuity of curriculum coverage and equal levels of achievements and standards across both bases. Churchfields was delighted to join the Palladian Academy Trust in March 2025.

The Head of School, Mrs Heather Saunders, the Executive Headteacher, Mr Simon Futcher and the Chair of Governors, Mr Roy Knaggs, can be contacted via the school using the details included Here you will find.
