1. To promote and encourage the advancement and improvement of agriculture (including forestry, horticulture, food-production, and all allied occupations) whether through the development of skills and techniques or research, and the dissemination of knowledge of such skills, techniques and research, both as to methods of husbandry, the use of science, the use and development of agricultural implements and machinery, the application of land-management, marketing, and conservation, and the development of new agricultural products including renewables.2. In pursuance of the purpose set out in sub-paragraph 1 above to hold regular agricultural shows provided that the Association shall not be obliged to hold a show in any year if the trustees of the Association shall resolve otherwise.
