Research a prospect

A trust or company: its board, who has joined, what else its people run, and the grants its grantees have received.

Before I write, I want to know who the decision-makers are, and whether anything has changed on the board.

How it works

See what the trust has given

Grants the trust has published to 360Giving: the biggest recipients and the latest awards. This shows what it funds and at what size before you write.

Why it matters. It tells you whether a request of your size and kind fits what it has actually funded.

    Check a company prospect

For a company, the directors who also govern a charity, and the organisations that share its directors. This is Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC.

Why it matters. A director who is already a trustee somewhere is a warm route to the company.

See the grants a charity has received

Hope UK in Kettering shows the grants funders have published to 360Giving for it, with the funder, the amount and the date. A funder that does not publish is missing, so this is a floor rather than the full picture.

Why it matters. It shows who already funds an organisation like the one you are asking.

Why you can rely on it

Sources, matching and privacy

Official sources

Board and officer records from the Charity Commission, OSCR, the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland, Companies House and the Department for Education, with other public registers named on each record. Every fact shows its register and date.

How we handle data

Careful matching

Records are joined into one person only where our identity-matching rules support it. Confirmed relationships are supported by the approved evidence and rules. Likely relationships are shown with the label “Likely the same person”. Connections are calculated here and labelled as calculated.

Methodology

Private by default

Nobody is told you looked them up. Viewing, searching and saving are private. Near Me lists organisations only, never where people live, and nothing a person types becomes an official fact.
