About

Gypsy, Traveller, Roma Showman and Boaters Pledge (GTRSB) St Hugh's proudly signed the GTRSB Pledge (Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showman, and Boater), demonstrating our commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for GTRSB individuals in our primary school.

By embracing this Pledge, we strive to implement effective practices and cultivate an open, welcoming atmosphere where the cultural and educational needs of our community members are recognised and respected. We aim to enhance access, retention, and educational outcomes for all our GTRSB pupils. We were assessed for the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) on the 25th of April 2024.

The assessment went exceptionally well, and we are delighted to share that we have been recommended as a Centre of Excellence ! Our three-year contract as a Centre of Excellence will officially begin in September 2024.

Some of the strengths highlighted by our assessor, Ms. Siona Robson , include: We are incredibly proud of our community's commitment to inclusion and the progress we have made in ensuring an environment where every learner feels valued and supported.
