Smithdown Primary is a thriving, oversubscribed two-form entry community school at the heart of Liverpool. We are proud to serve a diverse, vibrant and multicultural community that reflects the rich social and cultural heritage of our city.
Our pupils represent a wide range of cultural, linguistic and socio-economic backgrounds, bringing with them the values, experiences and traditions that make our school a truly inclusive and inspiring place to learn. At Smithdown, we are ambitious for every child.
We have the highest expectations of all learners and provide a broad, balanced and knowledge-rich curriculum designed to ensure that every pupil achieves well and develops a lifelong love of learning.
Reading sits at the heart of our curriculum, and we are committed to enabling every child to become a confident, fluent reader who can access the full curriculum and the wider world. Our ethos is built on kindness, respect and aspiration. We nurture the whole child—academically, socially and emotionally—so that they grow in confidence and character.
