We are proud to welcome you to Barrow CE Primary School which is situated in the village of Great Barrow in the heart of the Cheshire countryside 5 miles from the historic city of Chester. Our small school was founded in 1865 in an historic Victorian building set in attractive school grounds.
It is full of character and is a place where creative teaching meets with traditional values. Our Church School ethos is distinct and is supported by Christian values that run through our curriculum and underpin all that we do. It is our mission to ensure that all of our pupils feel valued as unique children of God.
All members of our school team work hard to foster a love of learning in our pupils and our creative, vibrant curriculum enables them to shine. We have high expectations of all of our pupils and provide them with motivating learning experiences to help them achieve their optimum potential.
We are strong advocates of Forest School and all of our classes enjoy this experience every week. Additionally, we make the most of our large school grounds to learn outside the classroom.
