It is with much pleasure I welcome you to Portway Junior School - a happy and vibrant, popular three-form entry school that feels like a family. We are a popular school and have a waiting list for some of our year groups.
I have enjoyed being the Headteacher here since September 2022 and take great joy in seeing children and young people encouraged to grow and become the best they can be. Our school is situated in Andover, within the picturesque Test Valley and has close proximity to Winchester, Basingstoke and Salisbury.
Our school life is underpinned by our core values for behaviour and for learning. Our Behaviour Values are: Ready, Respectful and Safe and Learning Values are Positivity, Resilience, Integrity, Dedication and Encouragement - otherwise known as PRIDE. These create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where all of our children are able to thrive.
They are true embodiments of our aim to be the pride of our school and our local community. Our House Captains are always proud to show visitors around the school.
