About

Twyford St Mary's is a warm, welcoming community focused school with a history of high academic achievement. As a Church of England maintained school we hold Christian values at our core, while still providing a diversity of curriculum and opportunities to thrive for all children, regardless of faith.

The school itself consists of the original Victorian schoolhouse and hall, together with modern extensions, two sizable playground areas and a purpose-built outdoor classroom. Adjoining the school, we have a large playing field overlooking beautiful water meadows.

We have six well-equipped classrooms and many break-out rooms such as the Treehouse and Greenhouse where we teach classes as mixed year groups, carry out small-group focus work, and have the scope to run multiple extra-curricular classes and music lessons.

Most of our school leavers go to The Westgate School or Kings' School in Winchester, which are both highly regarded, high performing secondary schools. We have also had a number of pupils go on to independant secondary schools such as King Edward VI School and The Gregg School .
