About

At Swinton Academy, we will make a difference We have the highest expectations and aspirations at Swinton Academy and we are committed to providing high quality learning and teaching, enabling everyone to reach their full potential, whatever their age, ability, gender or ethnicity.

We believe that every person is a unique member of our diverse and inclusive community, deserving our respect, consideration and acceptance. Everyone's contribution is valued and celebrated.

Through our partnership with the local and wider community, we aim to support all our young people in order that they leave us as successful learners as well as respectful, caring and resilient citizens ready to take up their place in society. We also expect that all adults recognise their responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

My son knows the academy will not tolerate bullying you can see the progress he is making with a lot of his work. He knows where to go whenever there is anything troubling him and speak with a teacher or year manager. When I rang and spoke to a member of staff asking about my daughter's pathway I was spoken to and the issue dealt with appropriately.

Governing body (10 current, 3 former)

iAcademy trust: local governing body and trust board.

1 governor is linked to a profile (all confirmed).

Governors marked “Confirmed same person” have exactly the same forename and surname as the only officer of that name at the school’s own academy trust company on the Companies House register, so we treat them as the same person. The governance record itself comes from DfE.
