About

Burston Primary is a small rural school nestled in the historic village of Burston, near Diss. Our unique setting provides a rich and inspiring environment for learning, and visitors often comment on the warm, welcoming ethos that defines our school. We are incredibly proud of our community, and we hope you will feel proud to be part of it too.

At Burston, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. Every pupil, member of staff and parent is valued, and everyone is encouraged to contribute to the life and work of the school. Learning drives all that we do, and we are committed to promoting achievement for all. Our school motto is 'Burston children make their MARK' – being Motivated, Ambitious, Resilient and Kind.

We believe in getting it right for every child. Children's rights and wellbeing are central to our approach, and we place a strong emphasis on nurture. When children feel safe, happy and included, they flourish academically, socially and emotionally. Our nurturing ethos supports wellbeing, behaviour, attainment and wider achievement, helping every child to thrive.
