About

Welcome to New Close Primary School. It is my pleasure and privilege to be Head of this small school set in the heart of Warminster. New Close is a loving, caring and inclusive community where we respect, appreciate and support each other and our environment.

Our aim is to create a positive learning environment where the children and their families are at the heart of everything we do. With the support of the Acorn Education Trust, which we joined in November 2017, New Close has transformed its learning environment, classrooms and curriculum. As a result of this extensive work, New Close was graded 'good' by OFSTED in March 2022.

Our Early Years classrooms and outdoor learning area has been completely refurbished and extended. Within this we offer a nursery provision as well as our reception class. Not only are we proud of our Early Years environment, but we also are proud of our ability to offer continuous provision and tailored grouped teaching within this setting.

Governing body (4 current, 2 former)

iAcademy trust: local governing body and trust board.

1 governor is linked to a profile (all confirmed).

Governors marked “Confirmed same person” have exactly the same forename and surname as the only officer of that name at the school’s own academy trust company on the Companies House register, so we treat them as the same person. The governance record itself comes from DfE.
