About

Dean Field Community Primary School is a forward-thinking and caring school, proud to sit at the heart of the Ovenden community in North Halifax. As part of the Family of Learning Trust, we see ourselves as a central hub of a wider family, working closely with pupils, parents, and the community to provide the very best opportunities for all.

We firmly believe in making a difference —ensuring every child receives an education of excellence that not only raises attainment but also inspires creativity, curiosity and a love of learning. Our motto, ' Learning Without Limits' , reflects our relentless focus on giving children the tools, confidence and ambition to achieve their goals both in school and beyond.

At Dean Field, high expectations go hand-in-hand with nurture and care. We provide a calm, stimulating and respectful environment where children feel safe to take risks, learn from mistakes, and grow as resilient learners.

A key part of our ethos is going ' above and beyond' in everything we do — our dedicated staff embody this every day, working passionately to unlock each child's full potential and significantly enhance their life chances.

Governing body (7 current, 3 former)

iAcademy trust: local governing body and trust board.

2 governors are linked to a profile (all confirmed).

Governors marked “Confirmed same person” have exactly the same forename and surname as the only officer of that name at the school’s own academy trust company on the Companies House register, so we treat them as the same person. The governance record itself comes from DfE.
