About

As Headteacher, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Unsworth Academy and thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Whether you are a current learner, a prospective family, a colleague considering joining our team, or a member of our wider community, I hope you find the information you need and gain a real sense of what life at Unsworth is like.

At Unsworth Academy, we are proud to be a warm, ambitious and inclusive school where every young person is known, supported and challenged to achieve their very best. We place great value on strong relationships, excellent teaching, and a culture where respectful behaviour and high expectations help learners to feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

We have incredibly high aspirations for all our learners, in terms of both their academic progress and their character development. Students have access to excellent facilities and resources to support the highest quality teaching and learning.

Our dedicated staff provide excellent opportunities for learners across our curriculum, including a variety of exciting enrichment opportunities beyond the classroom.
