About

As a parent and the Headteacher of Eckington School, I am acutely aware of the expectations and aspirations we all hold for our children. We want them to be safe, respectful, confident, resilient, and successful in everything they do. That is why we are proud to promote The Eckington Way : a shared commitment to being safe, calm, polite and kind, prepared, and ambitious.

These values are at the heart of everything we do and underpin the high standards we expect from all members of our school community. At Eckington School, we believe that education should be an extremely rich and rewarding experience, not just a preparation for the next stage of life.

Our aim is to develop confident, well-qualified young people who understand the importance of education and the vital link between strong academic outcomes and future success. Attendance plays a crucial role in this journey.

Being present at school every day lays the foundation for success as it helps students secure the knowledge, skills, and habits they will need to thrive in further education, employment, and adult life. Excellent attendance reflects the reliability and commitment that employers and universities value so highly.
